Movement of goods
Locations, batches and warehouse tasks.
WMS
WMS links the physical movement of goods to records in the system. It identifies the location and task, and confirming the operation updates the process status.
Locations, batches and warehouse tasks.
Compliance of the order with the actual collection.
Returns, quarantine and explaining differences.
The process includes receipt, identification, return to location, transfers, picking, packaging and release. Depending on needs, it records batches, serial numbers, logistic units and expiration dates.
Code scanning does not replace rules. You need to determine what the code means, in what unit the quantity is given and how to react to non-compliance or damaged goods.
ERP transmits the shipment instruction. WMS assigns collection tasks from specific locations. The employee confirms the goods and quantity, and the difference requires explanation. The confirmed release returns to ERP and can trigger document preparation.
When re-sending the message, the same item cannot be deducted a second time. Operations and messages must have identifiers and processing history.
Goods and quantity to be issued.
Task for a warehouse worker.
Code, unit and actual quantity.
Traffic closure and response to ERP.
We determine where master records, advance shipping notices and operational instructions originate, and how corrections and stock levels are reconciled. WMS manages warehouse execution, while accounting responsibilities remain aligned with the ERP's role.
The project includes location markings, devices, network coverage and offline operation. We also test for returns, partial deliveries and inventory.
The process involves more than correct delivery and complete completion. The employee should know where to put non-compliant goods, who can change the status and how such a decision affects availability.
Before implementation, we test signs, devices, units and the work of several people at the same time. The physical organization of the warehouse and the rules in the application must describe the same places and operations.
The goods are waiting for a quality decision and are not sent for regular collection.
Adoption with reference to the earlier edition and assessment of the condition before re-release.
Counting at the agreed time, explaining differences and confirming the correction.
A controlled way to identify and replace a label without guessing the goods or batches.
If the only question is "how much do we have?", the records module in ERP may be enough. When you need to indicate places, batches, order of tasks and confirm parallel operations, a correspondingly wider scope is needed.
We base the selection on movements and exceptions: number of receipts, order items, packaging method, traceability and operation of devices. It is worth conducting a pilot in a selected zone with a full cycle from acceptance to release.
Questions and answers
If locations, scanning, batches and task management are important, you need the right WMS scope. For simple warehouse turnover, an ERP module may be sufficient.
It depends on the method of identification and the pace of work. We check labels, readers, terminals and conditions of use before selecting devices.
The design determines which operations can continue locally and how to confirm them once the network is recovered. The unavailability of the connection must not lead to uncontrolled double movements.
