This historical article covers the recognition of Polish and English attribute names by the GetContainerAttribute function in FileMaker 13. We retain the description and original files at their existing URLs.
Editorial comment: September 2026
The fix modified the Polish localization resources so that the function recognized attribute names in both languages. The spelling getcontaineratribute remains in the old address; a valid function name contains a double "t" in Attribute.
The original description announced a separate update for version 14. We do not treat this old announcement as a confirmation of the compatibility of the attached files with FileMaker 14 or newer releases.
The old manual pointed to the Extensions\Polish directory in the Windows FileMaker Pro 13 or Pro 13 Advanced installation. For Advanced it also included FMI Runtime Resources\Internal Runtime Libraries\Extensions\Polish.
On Mac, Contents/resources/pl was indicated inside FileMaker Pro.app or FileMaker Pro Advanced.app in the version 13 installation directory. For runtime, it was the same location in Runtime.app. This is reconstruction information about that environment, not a universal instruction for replacing libraries.
The files were read from a public website on September 8, 2026. The saved SHA-256 sums allow you to compare the download with a saved copy. They are not the manufacturer's signature or the result of a safety test.
If a fix is needed in your database, start by providing the exact version and description of the bug. This will allow you to assess whether it is appropriate to work in an archival environment or modernize it.
